Councilman Brinson is a member of the Hartford City Council's Planning and Economic Development Committee. He believes that Hartford can do more with less. In fact, he is leading by example. in 2011, he refused his City Council $15,000 salary to help the City of Hartford close a budget deficit. Furthmore, Councilman Brinson is fighting to provide free parking spaces downtown and working to enact legislation that would elminate the taxes on the first $5,000 of a vehicle in Hartford.
